כנס ״פולין–ישראל: שורשים, קהילה ועתיד״

השבוע לקחנו חלק בכנס ״פולין - ישראל: שורשים, קהילה ועתיד״ - יומיים של מפגשים, שיח וחיבורים סביב המורשת היהודית־פולנית והדרכים לשמר אותה גם לדורות הבאים.

הכנס, שנערך ביפו ביוזמת המכון הפולני ושגרירות פולין בישראל, הפגיש לראשונה, תחת קורת גג אחת, ראשי קהילות יוצאי פולין, חוקרים, אנשי תרבות ונציגי מוסדות משתי המדינות.

במסגרת הכנס השתתפה יו״ר הארגון, עו״ד שלומית בק, בפאנל ״זיכרון חי: מנהיגות קהילתית ושיתופי פעולה”, שעסק ביוזמות לשימור קהילות, בהמשכיות בין־דורית ובחיזוק הקשרים עם גורמים בפולין.

שמחנו להיות חלק מהמפגש החשוב הזה, שמחבר בין זיכרון, קהילה ועתיד, ומהפתח שנפתח לשיתופי פעולה פוריים.

This week, we took part in the “Poland–Israel: Roots, Community and Future” conference - two days of meetings, dialogue and connections centered on Polish-Jewish heritage and ways to preserve it for future generations.

The conference, held in Jaffa and organized by the Polish Institute in Tel Aviv and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Israel, brought together for the first time, under one roof, leaders of communities of Polish origin, researchers, cultural figures and representatives of institutions from both countries.

As part of the conference, Attorney Shlomit Beck, Chair of the Chelmer Organization of Israel, took part in the panel “Living Memory: Community Leadership and Cooperation,” which focused on initiatives to preserve community memory, foster intergenerational continuity, and strengthen cooperation with partners in Poland.

We were glad to be part of this important gathering, connecting memory, community and the future, and opening the door to meaningful new collaborations.
